And he said to them, "O companions of the prison, as for one of you, he will serve his master wine to drink, and as for the other, he will be crucified and the birds will eat. So the matter about which a fatwa was requested has been settled in his mind." These verses were an indication that visions are real and have interpretations, and it is known that only those who know their rules and principles can issue fatwas. Visions in the Prophetic Sunnah It was reported that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said in a number of hadiths that a dream is real and that it is either a vision from God or a dream from Satan, including: If one of you sees a dream that he does not like, Let him leave it on his left three and ask for God’s protection from the third devil and stay away from him. “He also said: If one of you sees a dream that he likes, it is from God Almighty, so let him praise God for it and tell Him about it.” And the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: If the time approaches, the dream of the believer hardly lies. “Dreams come true frequently and are among the minor signs of the Day of Resurrection, as mentioned in the noble hadith.
